Our students take on significant roles in various school activities, embodying responsibility, initiative, and teamwork. These positions provide hands-on experience and foster a spirit of leadership, teamwork and civic-mindedness. The nurturing environment we strive to provide ensures that our Chingums emerge as confident, capable leaders ready to make a positive impact in the world.

Pre-Primary Parent Connect Session

We care deeply about each child’s health and well-being at Vedanta. Education is essential, but so are nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Recognizing the need for parents to spend quality time with their children in a school environment and interact with teachers about their learning, we organized our first Pre-Primary Parent Connect session of the school year. We welcomed the students and parents with a green carpet and gross motor warm-up exercises to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our chief guest, Dr. B. Harshamayi, Master  of Dental Surgery, spoke about the importance of eating a balanced diet. Staying healthy involves regular exercise and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, which is equally important for kids. Involving children in the preparation and selection of foods can also be an important learning tool both in school and at home. The session was followed by healthy fireless cooking  and food pyramid games involving parents and their kids. These activities not only educated the children and parents about nutrition but also strengthened the bond between them through fun and interactive participation. Parents appreciated the opportunity to engage with their children and teachers in a relaxed and informative setting, in addition to networking with other parents, fostering a stronger school community. We can’t wait for the next parent-connect session!

Enhancing Resource Utilization in Classroom for our Teachers

On June 22, 2024, our teachers attended an insightful Teacher Training Programme organized by Orient Blackswan Publishers. The session was facilitated by Mr. Giridharan and Mr. Bala Subramaniam, who demonstrated the effective use of the Orient Blackswan Teachers Portal. The experiential learning workshop focused on how to utilize the Teacher’s Resource & Portal, aiming to engage students and foster both individual and group exploration. Teachers had their queries addressed, enhancing their ability to integrate these tools into their teaching practices.

“Chingum” – A Vedanta Tradition

At Vedanta Academy, we believe in nurturing strong, confident, and courageous individuals. That’s why we proudly call our students “Chingums,” which means lion cubs. Just as lions symbolize strength, leadership, and a fearless spirit, our students embody these qualities in their academic and personal lives. This tradition fosters a sense of unity, pride, and belonging, inspiring every Chingum to strive for excellence and uphold the values of our academy. Throughout their years at Vedanta, our students learn to make friends, be assertive, and lead meaningful school lives, embodying the true spirit of Chingums. The name Chingum not only instills a sense of pride but also reminds our students of their potential to lead and excel in all endeavors. We at Vedanta take every opportunity to celebrate the spirit of our Chingums!
