Rally for a Reason !

Students of Vedanta Academy rallied on the roads bearing painted placards to spread awareness on the importance of Going Green and promote a healthy environment to live in.The young activists had rallied from Porur to Iyyappanthangal with the sole motto of urging the public to embrace eco-friendly practices for a healthier and safer tomorrow. Students had created their own slogans to spread the word on organic farming, going green and clean and recycling to name a few.

The Animals Looked Fancy!

Our young Vedantians of grade 1 represented the ‘Animal Kingdom’ flaunting their fluffy furry animal costumes with charm. They stole the show with their adorable speech on saving animals and nailed it with their wild ramp walk.

Celebrating Culture @Vedanta

Students and Staff of Vedanta Academy had celebrated Pongal in style where they took pride in their tradition by painting the school in colourful rangoli, trying their hand at uriyadi, enjoying a breezy bullock cart ride and feasting with a variety of delicacies at the food stalls. It was a real spectacle to see the students clad in traditional pattu pavadai and vetti sattai.It was a great way to instil traditional values and reinforce the significance of our deeply rooted culture in students.

Meet our cute little cooks!

Who says we need fire for cooking ? Our young Vedantians of the pre- primary section concocted a variety of lip smacking items like bhel puri,salads, s’mores, stuffed dates and many more with their tiny hands as part of their Happy Belly activity and filled their happy bellies with glee !

Village Retreat for Vedantians !

Students and teachers of Vedanta took a day off to spend ‘Gramathil Oru nal ‘ where they got to enjoy a day free from the pollution and pandemonium of city life. Students were greatly fascinated by the lush green village environment and got to experience our age-old heritage and culture from going on a mattuvandi ride to enjoying the nathashwaram thavizh music and Karakattam. They happily indulged themselves in some sumptuous thala vazha ilai sapadu and got to bond with each other .Students also got to try their hand at some of the traditional outdoor games like uri adi,undikol, nondi and finally got their feet dirty by playing in the wet slushy fields. It was surely a day to remember for the young vedantians.
