ABOUT SPORTS IN VEDANTA ACADEMY

An equal focus to both body and mind, our students are trained to become fit champions as well. Dedicated 2 acres play ground to accommodate all sports facilities. Through a combination of scheduling and top notch facilities, we ingrain sports into regular curriculum like no one else. We have excellent facilities for cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and athletics. It also inculcates team spirit, sportsmanship, friendliness and acceptance of failure too.

We have tie ups with renowned Academies for ensuring best training for our children and enabling them compete at national and international level .

TEAM SPORTS

All types of sports can benefit a child by building self-confidence and promoting mental and physical well-being. Team sports in particular provide a child with additional social benefits. children also learn life skills and values through sports, Understand team work and collaboration, Share opportunities and responsibility, Develop relationship, Contribute to stronger academics, Teach respect and mutual regard, Problem solving and Patience.

SKATING

Skating improves balance, agility and coordination. It is good exercise for arms ,legs and heart too. Our students get trained from Mr Sathya of Sathya Speed coaching Academy who has produced national and international champions .

KARATE

Karate helps children to become active, enhances focus and improves concentration. The Students are trained by Dr.Kobudo AS Krishnamurthy, a very renowned person in that field. He started training students from the age of 16 and has achieved many laurels in the field of Karate

FOOTBALL

It's a physically demanding game that provides an opportunity for students to improve their speed, agility, strength, hand-eye coordination and overall cardiovascular endurance. Students are trained by our specialized mentors of the school.

BASKETBALL

Basket Ball is a great game to be fit and stay in shape. It develops balance, coordination, improves concentration and self-discipline. Students are coached by our in house trainers of the school.

THROWBALL

Throw ball tones and shapes the body. The physical activities involved in playing throwball will strengthen the upper body, arms and shoulders as well as the muscles of the lower body. Girls and boys are taught this game by our P.E instructors.

CRICKET

Cricket improves endurance, stamina, physical fitness and hand eye-coordination. Students of our school are trained by Mr Prem who trains young professionals in the field of cricket.

INDIVIDUAL SPORTS

To him who is determined it remains only to act.

CHESS

Playing chess activates the right side of the brain, the side responsible for creativity. It increases problem-solving skills. Mr. M R Senthilkumar, Coach Anna University who has trained children to compete in the national chess competitions train our children too.

ATHLETICS

Training in athletics develops teamwork, perseverance, responsibility, physical endurance, commitment, time management, and personal and emotional health in children. our boys and girls are trained by P.E instructors.

TABLE TENNIS

Playing Table Tennis improves hand-eye coordination and it stimulates mental alertness, concentration and tactical strategy. It improves reflexes and develops mental acuity. Students are coached by our in house trainers.

YOGA

Yoga has numerous benefits. It improves flexibility ,perfects posture, boosts immunity, helps focus. Yoga is introduced to all students as a part of the curriculum and they reap the benefit by doing it.
